just a stab in the dark really (juddie perhaps) but does anyone have any idea where i can find a record of numbers of foreigners entering English football whether it be just number of foreigners per team or specific deatils of signings...

if anyone does have any idea of a resource of this ilk i'd be greatful.

More stats

:: In 1992-3, there were 393 English players (71%), 99 (19%) from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic, and 49 (10%) from overseas.

:: In 2006-07, there were 191 (38%) English players, 55 (11%) from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic, and 252 (51%) from overseas.

:: In 2006-07, only eight English Academy players made debuts in the Premier League.

:: In 2005-06, eight English Academy players from one club, Middlesbrough, who have gone out of their way to concentrate on young, home-grown players, made Premier League debuts.

:: Since the Academy system began, only 120 English players from Academies have made debuts in the Premier League while in the same period, 617 overseas players made debuts.

:: Even though the number of English players in the Premier League has increased slightly each year since 2002, so has the number of overseas players as squads have got bigger.

:: The number of regular English goalkeepers in the top flight was 14 in 1992-3 and seven in 2006-7

nice one mate... whats your source for the second one?
iv had a little scout on google books and there's quite alot of stuff on there, not quite as extensive as id like but some good stuff.
