Peacock's doing a sound job defensively but the bloke has pretty much forgotten how to play football progressively.
I've always been saying with LP that he'll be adored amongst a bunch of lazy cunts like the side that got relegated and he stood out because of his effort. However in a better side his workrate doesn't make up for the fact he's a bit of a fucking carthorse. Absolutely agree Dave, the man is a cart horse, nice bloke it seems but very limited in terms of being a footballer.

Peacock can play in a variety of positions and is an asset to our team. If we offered him on a free most teams in this league would be well interested in getting him in. I agree he hasn't been at his best the last few games but I'm not sure he's been totally fit in all of them.
'Cart horse' ..... you didn't really mean to say that did you Janaage!!
We'd miss him from our squad pretty quickly if he wasn't around.

This is not a pop at him BUT I mentioned this in another thread about lee Peacock.Anyone else think we need a little bit more than what he offers in midfield.I think its one of him and Easton not both we just don’t seem to have a attacking midfielder.
Jpm could be a good option in the middle but don’t think he has the pace for it but that type of player Peacock has missed some games injured this season and we lost all but one of them. So no, him and Easton are a decent pairing and do the donkey work which in theory should allow the wingers to do the attacking. Take Peacock out the middle and we arent as solid, if anything ifd you wanted an attack minded midfield to bomb on and get goals it would have to be him alongside Peacock, not instead of.

Peacock and Pook for me .. altho I wouldnt play with 2 wingers .. id have a third player in midfield and one drifting midfield/attacking player .. a player who moves from wing to wing and also plays in the hole - JP might well be the man for that role or even Roberts. Why would you drop Easton?

Also, Zaaboub only played well in a middle 5 because we had an extra man and he had some space.
Stick him in a midfield 4 and he's get bullied out the game the minute a man marked him.
As for a creative going forward, running at players midfielder....Curtis Weston anyone!?

if we played two strikers, two wingers AND an advanced central midfielder then our midfield would be totally over-whelmed every single week.
our central midfield is doing pretty much what it should do within our formation.

I think we could avoid dropping Peacock or Easton if somebody would teach JPM how to run and our strikers how to attack the ball in the box.

No, that wasnt what I was saying at all... ...but...Zaaboub in the middle probably would get bullied out of games more than Weston. Despite being small and young from what I remember Weston for the most part could and would give as good as he got in the middle of the park. My comment was more about the fact, we dont have a forward thinking central midfielder who is capable of picking up the ball and running past 2 or 3 players. Weston could do this very well but we let him go for nothing!

I agree we probably need an extra dimension in central midfield though. I don't think we need a dribbler, we need someone with all the attributes of Easton or Peacock, but with the ability to supply a killer pass as well ie a fucking good player for league 1. we can but hope.
