This is not a pop at him BUT I mentioned this in another thread about lee Peacock.Anyone else think we need a little bit more than what he offers in midfield.I think its one of him and Easton not both we just don’t seem to have a attacking midfielder.
Jpm could be a good option in the middle but don’t think he has the pace for it but that type of player

i think easton is undoubtedly indispensable and is a better option than peacock. i'm inclined to agree, neither of them really offer much going forward - we could do with a playmaker/attacking midfield style player to partner easton.

I agree. Peacock and Easton make the same decisions, and cover the same areas. JPM could be a shout, as he could potentially unlock a defence with his passing. I dont think his lack of pase will be as much of a problem as it is out wide either.

Peacock and Pook for me .. altho I wouldnt play with 2 wingers .. id have a third player in midfield and one drifting midfield/attacking player .. a player who moves from wing to wing and also plays in the hole - JP might well be the man for that role or even Roberts.

I still cant believe you have this weird obsession that Pook is better than Easton Fatters, if that was the case how come your mates not in the team?

the fact a player who played the majority of his football upfront and cannot offer much going forward says it all really.but him and easton are still our best cm pairing currently, although very similar.jpm aint a good option imo.he doesn't graft hard enough and tackles weakly. an attacking all round midfielder would be great.

The idea is not bad Fatbury but our problem is not having enough going forward I think by having 3 central players that will make it a little bit worse

peacock is decent backup at the moment, and if we are going to push on , he'll struggle to be that, has the effort and brain but to me lacks mobility

Maybe zaboub could go centre? His best performance by a mile was in that position last year against walsall.Always surprised me he didn’t play in that position again

didn't see him at warsaw but he'd be less of a liability in regards to his tracking back if he played in the centre of midfield and had easton/peacock sat back.
he's a creative player, can pass the ball and looks to take on players - decent shout mucka

he was outstanding that day, but was covered by Michael Timlin - twice the player of pook or peacock...
Risky, but it might work.

Zaaboub rarely made a pass that went to a Swindon player against Barnet. It would be pointless to have him in the centre.

Zaboub was outstanding against Walsall last December, really thought we had a decent player that day. Then he went back to the wing and the rest is histoire, histoire de merde!

The difference was he was he was almost playing as an inside left that day , i.e. in an attacking role on the left side of a cental midfield 3 with Weston and Timlin putting in the graft for him. I think Aaron Brown :wanker: was on the left wing?
I'm fucked if want to see Zabooub play centre mid in a 4-4-2, teams would slice through us like butter

Peacock's doing a sound job defensively but the bloke has pretty much forgotten how to play football progressively.
I've always been saying with LP that he'll be adored amongst a bunch of lazy cunts like the side that got relegated and he stood out because of his effort. However in a better side his workrate doesn't make up for the fact he's a bit of a fucking carthorse.
