Best tactic in my experience is to stay awake as long as possible and then go to bed at a normal time for where you are (ie 11pm or so in the UK), if you sleep as soon as you get back or when you're tired (in the day for example) your sleep pattern never adjusts, one day of feeling super tired, a really good sleep during the night, a good lie in and I've always got back into the swing of things. I guess it depends which direction you've come in from though I've always come in from the west, the time difference from the east might be totally different to adjust from.

Thats nothing to do with jetlag, it s more to do with coming back to this shit country and realising you'd rather be anywhere else (bar saturdays)

Spot on that's what I try to do, when I got back from Oz at 6 in the morning stayed up til 8pm went to bed, got up the next day at 8 went to work and felt fine. It's the napping that fucks you up. Same either way, in my experience anyway.
