Microwaves are just plain wrong. When mine breaks I am not replacing it. The only thing I use it for is defrosting rolls.

You need to invent your own bean flavour my friend.

Back when I was a lad and one of my mates lodged with me, inspired by "Sprouts of evil" from Bottom we proceed to make "Beans of evil".

Basicaly Heinz Baked beans, but with a few added extras.

Chilli Powder
Curry Powder
Tobasco Sauce
Jack Daniels (Just a splash!)
Cheese
Worcester Sauce
Extra hot chilli sauce bought from kebab shop
Whatever else is in your cupboard/spice rack!

Anything goes really, just add the ones you want one by one, always ensuring you've got some chilli in there until you find the formula that works for you!

I don't think evil is a strong enough word for that lot!

I have experimented with piri piri sauce in beans, which is quite tasty, but yet to find a recipe that matches the sweet chilli.

When my dad dieted a few years ago he lived on a diet of beans on brown toast with tobasco sauce. Food of the gods.

I don't think I could live without a microwave.

I didn't own a microwave for a whole year at university. You soon forget about it and it's not really a major inconvenience to either cook properly or use an oven or hob to heat ready made food.

Also, its common knowledge that if you look at a microwave while its heating something for more than five seconds, you will go blind and your family will all turn to stone.
