I've had enough. I've spent literally all day writing this fucking essay and its getting me down now. Again. I'm 438 words (yes, I'm checking my word count every sentence) away from reaching the bare minimum for the word count, and I've been talking bollocks since I hit 1k. I must've repeated myself a million times by now.
It's going to get a piss poor mark but theres fuck all I can do about it now. My own fault. I do feel better for sharing though.

A book. Sentimental Murder: Love and Madness in the Eighteenth Century, by John Brewer.
Here's the question: It could be argued that this work is not traditional history: to what extent is its version of the past successful? What does it teach you about the task and craft of the historian?

Mate you should see the criteria for the question (!), "use journals, online e-books, reviews, blah blah blah, make reference to numerical data, etc". I tell you, electronic journals and (university) online resources are a waste of fucking space. Google was my resource!
326 words to go!

I fucking wish! My list of references is nearly 300 words long. Job would be a goodun! Technically quotes don't count towards the final word count but I've scraped the barrell so far I'm digging a hole in the ground beneath, you know?

I was a postie for 2 years Gazza. Is that real world enough? And I tell you, it was a darn sight fucking easier than the shit I'm doing now. So fuck the fuck off.
I did finish, thank you Andy. Just made it over the accepted word count (2254!) and filled a bibliography with books I'd just skimmed. I can relax now, the rest of the work I have due in is nowhere near as taxng.
