Listening to STFC World Fitton says...here are some highlights,
-The embargo should be lifted around the 11th
- Reason for embargo is not clear, We did not get it for breaching a rule, it is because we haven't done something and Fitton will speak to the FL to find out how to get it lifted.
-The takeover problems are going well. 2 are solved, it was just paper work and the other is to do with HMRC and he has a meeting Friday and it should be solved Friday or Monday and then its just a case of signing paperwork again around the 11th.
- Thinks we have a shout at signing Cox, could probably match Reading's low valuation but if someone comes in with a bigger price we are not in the game to sign Cox.
-The issue with HMRC should be resolved this Friday
-Fitton is not selling Brezovan, if someone comes in with a massive bid they will talk.
-Always in business everything has a price but BREZOVAN IS NOT FOR SALE, Fitton will "fight like a tiger to keep Brezovan" and will do whatever he can to keep him.
-Players will not go cheap.
-Fitton is interviewing the potential new manager but doesnt think it is fair to go into it as Byrne's team have done well over the last 3 games.
-Has called Paul Sturrock for advice.
-Dave Byrne is a good coach but doesn't mean you are a great manager, has had suspensions etc when he came in and when players came back, things picked up. Byrne's team has played good football lately so... no rush for a manager.
-Doesn't have a short list at the moment.... has a long list
Fitton is very well spoken and seems to know his football.
