I remember that one....17 year old Don Rogers playing his second game destroyed them. Winning on the notorious Huish slope was quite an achievement. If that had happened today, we'd have sold him for 500K rising according to appearances. We have only played there the once since. |

I looked it up on soccerbase! Before my time, Reg. It was the FA Cup...we got through to play Everton at the CG in R4....26000+ think Everton won the league that year and they mullered us. 5-1 It was also the last time we had really heavy snow which hung around for a long time. We played QPR around then on a pitch of rolled snow, with blue lines, the players wore basketball boots and some even wore gloves it was so cold. |
