I'm getting over a particularly nasty Christmas cold, so my Yeovil ticket is going to be unused.  I'd settle for our first away win at Yeovil in 45 years.

I remember that one....17 year old Don Rogers playing his second game destroyed them.   Winning on the notorious Huish slope was quite an achievement.   If that had happened today, we'd have sold him for 500K rising according to appearances.

We have only played there the once since.

It was the FA Cup...we got through to play Everton at the CG  in R4....26000+ think Everton won the league that year and they mullered us. 5-1

It was also the last time we had really heavy snow which hung around for a long time.

We played QPR around then on  a pitch of rolled snow, with blue lines, the players wore basketball boots and some even wore gloves it was so cold.

Has anyone else spotted that Moonraker is showing at 3pm on ITV1?  I think this is a good omen - we should, at least, have a good 2nd half.

I don't recall that one being about the recurring theme of Wiltshiremen trying to avoid Customs and Excise, but with our away record, we need all the help we can get.

Reg

Are you implying that - in playing games with HMRC - Diamandis (and Hillier before him) was simply guarding an age old Wiltshire tradition?
