yeah HJK Helsinki this was posted a few months back, how we miss a goal scoring midfielder, id have him back here in a heartbeat, forget all that bristol city stuff, he scores goals and a goal scoring midfielders are worth their weight in gold

he's never shown the sort of form he did in the second part of that season though.

true!

never understood why he was used so sparingly early on by king, whilst players like hewlett were in the lineup every week. even in those rare appearances he did fairly well - iirc he p;layed left-back in the play-off semi-final and was one of our best players.

he did indeed play left back for the game at Brighton, i bet he regrets leaving us so much now, when he was here all all was saying was how he never has had a decent run in a team to show what he could do, we give him it and he leaves and goes back to sitting on the bench at Bristol City

He could have become somewhat of a legend here, instead he is a cunt and has done fuck all since leaving Swindon.

He wasnt that good. He hit a good spell of form, and fair play to him helped rocket us up the table for 3 months. He played for Walsall for a long spell, if he was any good he would have shone there, but he got moved on again.

Same as Rhys Evans, both terrible decisions to leave Swindon.

Brian Howard is the attacking midfield player we should want back in a flash, not Grant Smith.

He did play a cracker - apart from moving his fat arse out of the way for Brighton's goal at the County Ground. Had he just closed down we'd have made the final.

I see your point. I like the McGovern - Peacock - Easton - Roberts midfield a lot though. Injuries seem to be our downfall at the moment.

I agree, its a good blend that midfield, especially when Roberts and McGovern can be arsed
