Tozer is £250,000 up front, only 'could' rise to £1.1m. Jutkiweicz was something similar I think. Couldn't we demand some more as we didn't really need to sell them?

Come on fella, the lad's onlt got about 180 minutes worth of league experience. £250,000 is a good price!! Same for Lukas, half a season of league 2 footie and a transfer fee of a mill. Not bad business.

The BBC reported earlier in the week that Tozer had actually left us for a nominal fee but with it rising to £1.1 million, not sure if they said £250k was nominal but there was a mention of just over £100k.

If Tozer went for 50p we made a profit. We only had the kid for about a year and stole him from Plymouth, which everyone seems to forget, so whatever we get it's still money for nothing.
I didn't rate him anyway and in the grand scheme of things any of the figures banded about are pretty good baring in mind both his experience and our expenditure.

both the fees for tozer and jukebox seem very reasonable to me.i find it rather amusing, as many fans slated tozer but had prem clubs queing up to sign him.

Has he actually gone? I haven't seen anything confirming it newcastle site says personal terms are being discussed, although a certain member of STFC coaching staff has told me that Tozer will be on between £4,000-£6,000 a week basic. Which is ridiculous, Jutkiewicz is on £2,000 a week basic but get extra for starting in reserve games and scoring in reserve games

The point is our players AREN'T so good. i agree the Jutkiewicz deal is a fair price i think, the Tozer deal we have been lucky to get the amount we have, i have seen him play more than anyone on here, seen all the home youth games (even the ones at the end of last season when he played a few games for us before we officially signed him) and all the 1st team games hes played with the exception of Carlisle, and he isnt as good as the fee suggests. The 1 game where i could sasy he stood out above the rest of the defence was the youth cup game against Barnsley, and he wasnt the best player in that game, Kurt Hammond was immense

The point is people, the clubs are paying for potential. If Tozer or Jukie were mid 20s we would have got less than £100,000 in total for each of them. FWIW Tozer and Jukie have bags of potential. Its now up to Everton and Newcastle to continue their development. FFS Tozer isnt old enough to drink yet! A few months in the gym bulking up and some good coaching he could turn out ot be a beast of a defender!
