It was agreed yesterday to a "conditional sale" not an "unconditional sale"

The conditions are surrounding St Modwen having no lay to claim over any future development  

AND

The club giving the undertaking that they are owed no further monies.

The takeover will be completed this morning with a clause entered to allow Fitton and his consortium to pull out should the club's existing development partners, St Modwen, fail to approve an agreement that has been hammered out over development rights.

Considering the development rights are at the crux of the matter the deal is still a million miles from being completed.

THE Swindon Town takeover deal is expected to be completed at 3pm today, the Advertiser has been told.

Jeremy Wray has again reassured Town fans the deal is done, even though the time of completion has slipped back from the initial noon deadline.

Wray, a member of Andrew Fitton's consortium, revealed a conditional agreement would be signed in an hour and half, with a statement outlining the immediate future following soon after.

A complete takeover to me infers that everything is agreed in principle, though. He was also going on about moving their desks in this morning etc etc - at no point over the last 48hrs has anyone said anything about things still needing to be agreed between the 2 parties.

It's just one bloody quote after another from all parties concerned and yet there's still no ink on the paper. I know I'm getting arsey but arrrrrrgh!
