No, not the poster by that name on here. Isn't all this Fitton cock sucking a bit premature? Dont get me wrong I'm delighted to see the back of the current lot, and virtually anyone within reason would be better, firstly to unite the club with e fans again, secondly to run the club better. I'm really not being negative here, because I'll be fucking delighted if we get a "deal is signed " statement tomorrow BUT, we dont really know what his plans are, we dont know the make up of his consortium on his new board, we dont know who he is appointing manager and we dont know how much he and his mates are going to put into the playing side of the club. Given his obvious business acumen, my gut feeling is positive. However I cant bring myself to sing his name, I sang Terry Bradys name many years ago. (That dosnt mean I think he's of the same ilk) I had a point when I started writing this. I think it was "steady now" in the style of the churchill dog http://www.churchill.com/images/topDog.gif

Im in support of him over the fact that everything he has said seems sensible, also my mate played under him at hungerford and I trust his judgement

Well if anyone can save our club through any means other than dodgy financial restructuring and more CVAs then they get my vote.

Agreed,
But do we have any choice? Not really. I was just calling for cautious (yet committed!) support for the new regime rather that declaring everything is now great. I'm coming across as a miserable cunt here arnt I?

Lets suck it and see.
He starts with a blank sheet of paper, everything is reset to zero , lets see what his plans are before condemning the man (not that you were!).
I guess he isn't investing for fun. If he gets some £££ back on the back of a redevelopment who cares, provided the club gets its revenues increased and he doesn't kassam us!

Has Fitton said anything about the Trusts redevelopment plans for the County Ground?

Had Fitton been taking over in a less febrile atmosphere then he would certainly have been subject to a more forensic examination of his plans and intentions. However I rest easy in the knowledge that in the interests of objectivity, Maverick will have subjected this consortium to scrutiny of the minutest of detail.
Once he has overcome his present mesageboard ennui....I feel sure we will get a full disclosure.

Has Fitton said anything about the Trusts redevelopment plans for the County Ground? No, in fact I don't believe he's commented publicly in any detail about whether they'd want to do redevelopment other than a passing comment they'd like to stay at the CG and to make it pretty clear that should redevelopment happen, some of the current snouts will not be anywhere near the trough. In any case, those plans are now nearly two years old and both the political and commercial landscape has moved on - the basic premise is still sound, but they would need reworking to reflect that.
