ANDREW Fitton expects his consortium to assume control at the County Ground on Tuesday after revealing tonight "all paperwork is now agreed".

The Wiltshire businessman gave the strongest indication yet of a successful takeover bid, saying he expected the deal to be signed tomorrow.

The news will be a huge relief to all Town fans after months of protracted talks, and crippling debts left the club on the brink of collapse.

Fitton will not return from his family holiday until after the weekend but is more confident than ever it will as Town's new chairman.

Fitton has always been careful about setting dates, the fact that he has now said tomorrow must mean there is a very strong chance it will happen!

If that quote is from tonight, it would suggest the Tozer deal doesn't put a spanner in the works. With our lot, I want confirmation from Companies House

The deal will be completed tomorrow according to Fitton and if it is we should hopefully find out tomorrow and not tuesday.
