I would have sold tozer with or without fitton but yes the decision to sell him now stinks.

It's crucial - the board have either just sold a key asset the was effectively to be the new consortium's asset - hence buggering the deal completely, or decided that they would put a spanner in the works yesterday afternoon with the amends, wait until they tied up the Tozer deal behind Fitton's back, 'agree' matters with him with no intention to sell, and annoucne the transfer tomorrow and tell Fitton where to go...or, I hope beyond all hope, that it has been done with Fitton's full knowledge and consent.
If it's the latter, why did one piece of news break last night and the other this morning

What would have happened is the club would only get £400,000 or so upfront for Tozer, Diamandis/Wills would have then asked Fitton for an extra £400,000 to go, that's what i think would have happened anyway.

Is that what happened or what you think happened?

i would doubt fitton knew nothing of the deal prior to yesterday but certainly did as he negotiated yesterday it may have been the deal breaker.

Is that what happened or what you think happened? That is just what i think has happened, it was a obvious thing for diamandis to do to make fitton cough up some more money, obviously newcastle won't pay more than £400,000-£500,000 up front and diamandis will want that cash, i think he would have probably said to fitton give us that cash and we will leave, i think this has to either be the deal breaker that was talked about yesterday or the amendment that could be negotiated.

the negotiation being ok leave it another week wait for a wup and be reported for taking funds that should be put aside to pay creditors. either way its a worthwile investment to get rid of the bastards. cant help thinking some how the club will be faceing some sort of investigation because the tozer money should go to the creditors.

I think that at worse the Tozer deal would be the negotiable amendment; I can't see them getting enough money upfront for it to be a big deal, £100,000 - £200,000 max would be my guess. My (obviously hugely important to everybody) opinion would be that the deal-breaker is still likely to be something to do with ground development rights.

Yes i believe any money that is made should be given straight to the creditors, i don't think you are not allowed to do anything else with it.

If the creditors are not paid in full in a very short space of time, then I think you'll be right.
Having the takeover signed off would be a fantastic early Christmas present. Diamandis and Wills getting a visit from the Wiltshire Constabulary would be the icing on the cake.

Sounds promising then. Let's hope Mike D doesn't throw yet another spanner in the works. All being well it should be signed tomorrow.
