rumours are true. so this looks like the current board will have this money and run. If this means this ties the takover deal then so be it. i never really saw him play, any good?
you can get rid of this thread now as there was another one posted at the exact same minute

Seriously 1.1m or a potential 1.1? I could imagine most of that being tied into him scoring a hat-trick in a world cup final or something equally unlikely (30 first team games for example).
Otherwise the board have got a genius deal.

yes but even if they get a few hundred thousand up front it's probably pushing the valuation a bit.

Given Newcastle's tendency to spend vast sums on pretty shit centre backs, it wouldn't surprise me if it was £1.1m up front

I think we could be onto somehing here, keep blooding youngsters regardless of talent give them 4 or 5 games and flog them for silly money to Premiership sides Thats probably a bit harsh but I do struggle to see "it" with Tozer, thats said he must have something and good luck to him.

Fuck me, they must be desperate. In a way this is another indictment of our national game, that they could be prepared to pay that for a player that is so average, just because he is young. Will make it, right back where he started, in League 1.
Could also be the first time when a 1 million deal has actually contributed to a club going bust.
Bizarre all round.

According to RS this morning, it is only a low six figure deal anyway, the rest are all add-ons!! Also the new owners want to speak with him before he signs - that is if they sign as well presumably.
