Iffy's Onion Bhaji noticed an update to the adver story
ANDREW Fitton insists "positive talks" are still ongoing into the night as the Town takeover inches closer to completion.
Just when it looked as though talks were to set to stall again, the Wiltshire businessman has revealed he is confident the deal will now go through on Monday morning.
He said both parties'lawyers are now just checking the wording of the contract and, if acceptable, the deal will go ahead on Monday.
advertisementFitton jets off on a family holiday tomorrow morning but revealed as long as the latest contract is agreed, his consortium's purchase will be completed at the start of next week.
The news comes at the end of a stressful day for all Town fans with Fitton not attending today's defeat to Brighton after three late ammendments to the contract.
Fitton seems convinced these issues have now been dealt with, with him hoping to be announced chairman on Monday.
He said: "Providing the lawyers agree the documentation, which they should do, the deal will go ahead.
"Monday morning is now the critical time."

TIME is running out for Town's owners to agree a takeover deal to save the debt-ridden club's future.
No deal has yet been agreed between the club's shareholders and Town suitor Andrew Fitton, with a 'sticking point' threatening to destroy negotiations.
With Fitton jetting off on a family holiday tomorrow morning, the fears are there are only hours remaining to clear the remaining obstacles.

Town are not expecting any further news tonight, leaving them till about 10am tomorrow to complete before Fitton jets out of England.
The Swindon Advertiser understand Fitton will walk away from the deal completely if it is not sealed before he goes on holiday.
A failed takeover could to lead to a number of creditors losing patience and filing a winding up petition against the club.

If this is true, I'll be going to the first game that Fitton is chairman and shouting loving sentiments towards him throughout the whole game. Fitton seems convinced these issues have now been dealt with, with him hoping to be announced chairman on Monday.
