the only stumbling block is the £312,000 outstanding for the CVA according to the exectutive box steward who lives across the road from me. bob holt and sandy gray were the only board members at todays game. apparently bob holt spent the entire game on the phone to the solicitors and fitton trying to get it sorted out

the view from fitton is "you've lost £10,000,000 already, what difference is £312,000...atleast you can get some money back!"

Fitton paid some off I thought to give the negotiations some time before a Winding Up Petition was issued from HMRC

bbc are not that bad considering they have a direct link with fitton. the players dont give priority to bbc the give it to brunel who in my opinion will be gonners if fitton takes over. they are shit to say the least.

Well well well

Crap game
Brighton players were a disgrace while on their coach heading out of the ground
deal almost fallen through
what a great saturday night I'm having  :groan1:
Ed on RS said it appears that the discussions are going to go on into the night but isnt very hopeful - He does believe however that if the paperwork was here when fitton got back from holiday whereby all he has to do is sign, he would probably do that but will not be doing anything while on holiday ...

Errrm, NO. Considering that they don't even have the right's to broadcast the whole match, they still did the best that they could and STFC was top of the agenda throughout the whole programme.

Sorry but that doesn't make sense to me, surely Fitton was supposed to be clearing all existing debts anyway and so surely that would be covered.

And 312k?Huh? where did that figure come from?

I thought that payment was (for exclusivity, as if he needed it) to HMRC for about £200K off of current debt. Surely part payment of CVA has to be shared amongst all CVA creditors. Never mind, don't want to get tangential. Just want the deal completed.

The last thing we want is the board hiding behind Fitton for another week or two telling creditors "we've still got a deal on the table - don't close us down."

If the deal is not done tonight, Fitton should announce publically that it is all over, and the Inland Revenue can get on the phone to Diamond Mike on monday to say "give us our £2,000,000 you fat Greek bastard"

Fitton shouldn't wait until after xmas to sign the paperwork.....the board would probably just end up using him until then and then we would be almost into January.....He needs to get it done and get the paperwork signed today.
