Apparently somebody was being shown around the CG yesterday, today the current chief exec. of Brentford resigns with immediate effect.  Coincidence or am I reading too much into this?

Think your reading too much into it TBH as they are a bit of a club in Crisis also so probably quit more as a result of that...

Think your reading too much into it, I mean if the new chief exec was smart, why would you leave a job you already have for a job that MAY be open with Fitton ? There is still plenty of time for it to fuck up.

Gary, you are probably correct, but if Fitton does complete in the next few days we will be left without a chief exec. and a general manager (we bloody well hope).

True, I would think Fitton based on what he has said would bring in a professional who has worked in the higher divisions if possible. I honeslt dont feel Fitton will want just another lower league chief exec. I actually do feel under him we can go places.

Agree with you there Gary, according to reports Dave Byrne has been told that there will be no need to sell the best young players we have, they want to build for the future.

Official site however this could just be a tactic for clubs to raise their offer, here is the link . http://www.swindontownfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/PreMatchPress/0,,10341~1190081,00.html

Right, so a new Cheif exec being shown around the club, Byrne being told NOT to sell Tozer ect.

I am beginning to suspect that the paperwork might actually be completed and is sat in a safe somewhere just waiting for Fitton to come back to sign it!

Could somebody please correct my train of thought here as I fear that I may be setting myself up for a huge dissapointment.

RS have also been reporting that the deal is set to be signed tomorrow (fri).  I for one will shed a little tear if it all goes through - Shear relief that our club is surviving :>)
Gazette & Herald are reporting that a 'chief exc' in waiting was being shown around the CC

Its all looking good  Cheesy
