I believe Huracan was where Ossie started his career.

I'll always recall his side of  89/90 as playing the purist football I've ever seen.

Fair enough I'm mixing it up with purist, which is who Ossie's football was for.

Maybe Ossie as manager and Glenn as assistant?  AF could handle the wages couldn't he?

Most exciting football I've ever seen in 40 years at the CG was when Ossie was in charge, I'd have him back tomorrow, next week, next month, next year ... but alas no chance.

Ossie was great for us but his managerial career since hasn't exactly been successful.

I'd rather remember the eras of Ardiles and Hoddle, instead of trying to recreate them. It seldom works out the same.

(Why have I just wasted a minute commenting on something that will never happen anyway?)

He gave an interview about 12 months back that he wanted to return to English football in the near future.

I'll always remember that kamikaze football he played with Spurs.  Klinsman, Sheringham, Barmby, Anderton, Dumitrescu and Popescu all raging merry hell but with little afterthought for defence.

Being replaced by Gerry Francis was always a bit of travesty to boot

+ he inherited some decent players from Macari. Still did a fantastic job turning round completely the way the team played really quickly; but he'd struggle to do that with the players we have now.

And yes; it would never happen.

And i also wouldn't want him back for precisly the reason he was such a legend first time round; i want to remember him for that.
