I see him more as a James Bond villian,im not sure if he has 3 nipples or a cat though.

I had it on good authority that Starnes was the main linkman with Sturrock within the Board.  He fell out of favour somewhat when Bowden appeared and was a little marginalised - as anyone who attended the Fans Forum back in Feb would pay testament too, a very public actions speak louder than words night in terms of the Board inner relationships.

Never struck me as Cheif Exec material to be honest, but also never struck me as being a puposefully nasty as others in the set-up.

May have been an over reaction, i'm prone to them. Cool

I'm not trying to get anyones back up, just trying to illustrate how far fetced some of this speculation feels to me.

The point is that he doesn't know and that statement is absurd based on what we know. There's just too many holes being filled in. The way some of this factual guessing is going, MD seems like a fictional baddie conceived as part of the Marvel Comics empire.
He is worse than that barry .He is to swindon town what shipman was to a old peoples home

fucking good analogy.

So Mav was working for Smarmes, when all along we thought it was Bowden.

That posting was not a prediction ..... so it was kind of easy!

The takeover would have to be a prediction ... and as such I predict it goes through ... the Wills cannot afford to lose all the money they have in the club and it is too late (IMO) for them to find another option. Raising extra money would cost them even more and increase the losses they incur.

I also think that it will mark the beginning of a cooling between them and MD as they will (IMO) be getting less than they would have done earlier in the year before they were truly in the last chance saloon.

With that in mind I would think that the Wills may well retain a small shareholding in the club, both because of the hope that there may be something better later (redevelopment?) and also because I think that SSW at least would find it hard to completely walk away on STFC.

Not acting Chief Exec
Not joint anything with special attention to  ladies
Not chief exec designate
just plain old chief exec

Chief Exec. He'll largely be in charge of Acting, apparently they have quite a burgeoning drama department at Yeovil.

Cant say it was hard to see he would go to Yeovil, as he still lives in Sherborne and has very strong local ties in Yeovil with the board, Sherborne have always had a good working relationship with the Wurzels as they are only about 5 miles apart.

Diamandis is 60 next year.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if he went in to retirement of sorts before long.  It's conceivable that he has viewed this transaction as a last opportunity to boost his pension fund before clearing off for good.  Speculation, I know, but maybe the reason he's been as obstructive as he has.
