He must've been one of the longest 'acting' chief exec's in history...

One thing the board has always been good at is giving mediocre people ludicrous titles....like Chairman Designate.    Wasn't Bowden Acting Joint Chief Executive Designate or something.

Can't disagree with that comment.

Wasn't Starnes caught out telling lies along with Sandra Gray at the AGM? For that alone he should of walked ages ago.

Starnes was a puppet for a long time to Diamandis until he refused to do his dirty work any longer

Never really had a problem with the guy as has been said there is a lot worse there than him who need to go, probably getting out while he can.

At least it won't affect the day to day running at the club....Diamond Mike has got that well in hand

I suspect he will go back to Yeovil where he came from for a back office job...unless he is going to work on the next buisness Diamandis put's into liquidation..oh hold on a minute.....    Cheesy

Correct - he is indeed going back to Yeovil, in readiness for our visit on Boxing Day.

I think you will find that his experiences of SN1 have ensured that this job was the first and last time that he will ever work with MD!!

That statement above is absolutely fucking ludicrous!

I mean, how the fucking hell do you know this, or is it just more hopeful guess work to just add more fuel to the fires? Jesus that made my the veins on my neck and face stick out and go red.

And yes, i dislike Diamandis as well, but guessing about relationships and his super-power like manipulation abilities are getting fucking comical and that, to me, is just a step to far.

Fair point Barry

Although the impression I get is that Starnes was the least powerful chief exec in history, through no fault of his own

Slight over reaction Barry it was well documented in past interviews that Mike Diamandis does overseee everything at the club and that he is the decision maker thus almost making him the chief executive of the football club so to suggest that he was using Starnes as a puppet is not ludicrous at all.

Well who has had final say on STFC over the last 5 years? The chief execs or Mike Diamandis?

Surely the fact that Mike Diamandis has held no actual position at STFC for 5 years, yet has final say on everything is more ludicrous?

May have been an over reaction, i'm prone to them. Cool

I'm not trying to get anyones back up, just trying to illustrate how far fetced some of this speculation feels to me.

The point is that he doesn't know and that statement is absurd based on what we know. There's just too many holes being filled in. The way some of this factual guessing is going, MD seems like a fictional baddie conceived as part of the Marvel Comics empire.

This was always my worry in opening my gob.

Just to clarify. I want the board out as much as any of you.
