Best program on the BBC by miles, easily worth the licence fee alone IMO.

this series of top gear has been absolutely brilliant.
rumours are that hammond is leaving at the end of this series but it does seem as though there's a rumour about the demise of top gear all year round nowadays... to lose even one of that trio would totally ruin the show imo

As long as they still have The Stig, the show will never die.
Incidentally, I only found out yesterday who The Stig actually is.

The original Stig was Perry McCarthy, but then as Dave said, he blabbed in his auto-biography and got sacked.

It used to be Perry McCarthy. The change was made when he jumped a car off a air craft carrier and returned for the following series in white as opposed to the original stig who apparently wore black, not that i remember ever seeing him in black.
EDIT: SAM, BEAT ME TO IT.

whoever it is the show where they raced across london was quality, some of the scenes featuring the stig on public transport were absolutely superb.
