Would that mean he's ineligible for England?

I know it will probably never happen, but I'd love to see him play for England.

Get rid of that minimum release fee now, cos if he becomes an international, he'll be worth far more!!

Wouldn't blame him, no chance he'll ever play for England realistically.

He's got Scotch grandparents I think.

No harm done as it's only a friendly so he can still play for England if the call comes.

fair play if he gets picked.
realisticly he wont play for england and if he can play international football with scotland it can only benefit him a whole lot more.

go for it SSP.

Same. I don't know who I'd choose between England and the Republic if I had the choice, my loyalty is rather evenly split Hmmm...

anyway, it depends on whether this counts as a full senior cap. If it does then he can't play for anyone other than Scotland, but if UEFA/FIFA consider it a youth game then he'd be able to play for England should the chance ever arise. I'm not sure what the situation with 'B' internationals are, I'm sure Reg will know  Cool

Same.

He'd be a fucking wanker if he does, no matter how many goals he's scored in the highasyoucankickit league sponsored by Coca Cola.

It doesn't matter if it's a full or senior cap - what matters is whether the game is a competative international.

Remember Matt Le Tissier and all the fuss over him being able to play for the French - he was only locked in as an England international when he played the competative game against Italy (and missed several good chances).

So SSP CAN play for Scotland B as long as it's a friendly, and still later play for England.

Not in this squad, do I spy a sense of humor from the County ground?

As for Sam, well he's finally seen the light, what can I say.  I've never been so proud of a Swindon player.

fair play to sam, he is never going to be given a chance for England.  Isn't he also eligible to play for N.Ireland?
