If you're feeling fruity at this point then note it is possible to put your thumb over the bottom E string to cover the 2nd fret to give you the F# bass note.

IIRC that was the technique first employed by Eddie Cochran [sp] back in the sixties to give the driving altenating bass line to his guitar riffs.
I tried it once and nearly broke my wrist trying to get my hand round the neck, never tried again since :shock:
Oh and for the record my fav chord has to be Gm paired fantasticly with a C.
