......that I live a couple of hundred miles away, that one headlight on my car has blown, and that I've got a job interview next week.

If I still lived in Ponting Street I worry that I'd be pissed up and randomnly battering things in and around the CG.

Knowing my luck I'd get arrested whilst mistakenly trashing Andy Fittons car.

i've got a job interview in 2 hours and i've not prepared for it at all because i've spent all my time trying to keep up to date on here.

I'm sure he would understand - you could agree to pay for the damage, but just before he picks it up from the garage charge him a couple of grand for the potential to go on nice drives to the country that you have just given him.

the interview was 2 hours long and included an exam  :shock: needless to say i wasn't very prepared. does anyone know how to kill a family of processes running under a process tree using the console in linux? cos i fucking don't.

Without looking it up cos I can't be bothered it'll be something along the lines of ps with appropriate switch to show the tree piped into kill, probably with a -9 if you want to force the kill ie

ps -<whatever the show tree switch is> | kill [-9]
