Will SSW speak to Bill or leave it to his adviser?
We're going round in circles here! Actually downward spirals, at an ever increasing speed.

http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/display.var.1884683.0.fitton_remains_frustrated_with_takeover_progress.php TOWN suitor Andrew Fitton continues to be frustrated in his latest bid to secure control at the County Ground.
The Ramsbury businessman had hoped to tie up the deal on Friday, but talks were still ongoing yesterday afternoon.
Fitton revealed he had not made contact with former investor Bill Power regarding his ongoing legal battle with Town, insisting it was a matter for the club's lawyers. advertisement
"It's not our issue really," Fitton told the Swindon Advertiser. "We want to do a deal with the Wills family. They can sort out the situation with Bill Power. We're trying hard but it just doesn't seem to go anywhere. I am still hopeful, but it's just very frustrating nobody seems to get anything finished."
Power has just returned from a trip to Las Vegas and said he would welcome talks to finally settle the debate over the £1.12million he claims to have invested in the club as a loan.
He said: "Nobody has been in contact with me personally. I'm not put off by that. I'm sure I will be contacted. I've said all along I don't want to do anything that will hurt the club. I'm more than willing to speak to anybody if it will help get things sorted."
Meanwhile, former Town star Martin Ling continues to play down speculation linking him with the vacant post.
The Leyton Orient boss said: "As I've stated all along I've still got a job to do here and I'm very happy with how things are going. Swindon are a club in turmoil. They need to put their own house in order first in terms of the ownership of the club before they start looking to appoint a new manager."
9:45am today
Just fucking sort it out Wills.

I've resigned myself to it not happening. I'll be delighted if it does but the way things are going it looks unlikely and I think a lot of fans are just bored of everything.

Its not going to happen - Fitton is a Wills set up man - never had any intention of taking over the club - just wanted to buy the current lot more time for whatever reasons they wanted
club going down the pan ...
talk of a manager is pointless without any proper or right management to appoint them or even a club

The only thing that gives me hope is that, even now, there is nothing to suggest that Wills has anything to gain by taking us under.

Is it pure incompetence or do the board not actually want to sell to Andrew Fitton? It’s now Thursday one week on from when the original development rights ‘issue’ was actually published in the Adver and still no one has made any attempt to contact Bill Power. Ok, he has been in Vegas but he has lawyers that I’m sure the club are already familiar with, a business partner and shareholder in Phil Emmel and all of that wouldn’t prevent anyone from writing to him to request a meeting on his return. Something doesn’t sit right with the whole Power issue anyway. How can the club claim to have gone through due diligence with Best Holdings and get to the 11th hour with Andrew Fitton for this to only come to light months on? It’s either a smokescreen or a complete attempt to deceive the buying party into purchasing the club without the development rights, which again I find extremely sketchy given that the club own no land, fixed assets and over the years looked at numerous sites, Shaw and the County Ground being just two. How can you have development rights without as much as a specified location? Again, the club have worked with other developers since the involvement of St Modwen (see link below). How did the club intend to use another developer during their “lover’s tiff” with St Modwen if they had a golden handshake to only develop with one company. http://www.driversjonas.com/uk.aspx?doc=12997It’s been mentioned several times but if Bill Power’s shares in the holding company are enough to block the sale of the development rights then they are enough to block the sale of the company or transfer of shares. Full circle it’s now one week on and the club have not bothered to contact Bill Power and Fitton appears to be drawing his line in the sand and stepping back from the whole shambles. Unlesss we see some dramatic change this week it sounds like we’re going to spending Christmas on a Spanish nudist resort. Going tits up.

The train preparing to depart from platform one is the Fitton express.
Sounds like its on its last legs now, and I am just so pissed off with the whole thing now, come on SSW give us a statement from your own mouth to let us know what is happening, not BH, your own mouth.
Enough is enough.

Going tits up. :goodpost: At the risk of being accused of conspiring again, 'Plan B' could well have been 'limp along until the FA Cup draw comes along in the hope of a plum tie, string fans, creditors and the FA along by saying that someone is interested in purchasing the club and somehow get to the January transfer window. Offload players then and remain in charge'. FFS - how on earth can anyone explain just how the issue of development rights has only just come to light. Edit - In fact, what I meant to say is that this was not Plan B - it was the intention all long.

The whole situation is turning into a farce. Another takeover falling through. I can just imagine waking up to the news that Swindon are being hit by a winding up order.
Sir Seton sell up now!!!!

ANDREW Fitton's Town takeover bid is on the brink of collapse, the Swindon Advertiser understands.
A statement is due to be released later today confirming that Fitton's protracted attempt to purchase the County Ground outfit is doomed to failure.
The news will throw fresh question marks over Town's immediate future with mountains of unpaid debts threatening to send the club out of business. Oh fuck. I can't say I blame Fitton at all someone has clearly been having a go at tugging the wool over his eyes and he's been strung along so much over the duration.
