Uefa to look at standing at matches.... well it's a start. It states that standing areas like in germany are perfectly safe and its better to have these than have people stood in seating areas which is unsafe!

its not the standing thats the problem, its the big fuck off fences you had at the bottom of the stands. Grounds are decentley segregated now, so i dont see why terracing isn't brought back.

They still had fences at Shrewsbury and Hereford last season!

They've got safe standing at boavista's ground in portugal. been there, works a treat.

We've got in loads of our grounds in Germany and have done for years. I assume they don't consider it hear due to the cost but IMHO thats a crap excuse

No, they don't do it here because the FLA refuses to consider the option based on English "crowd behaviour".  They readily accept that other events held at football grounds have people stood constantly but wouldn't use that as an example stating theta football fans didn't behave the same.  Basically, a long report all but stated they still thought fans were hooligans at heart and giving them an inch would mean an instant return to rioting.
