I saw one guy get thrown out. The stewards were cunts. Ashers group were like the only ones singing apart from us at the back. Bloody Ridiculous. Fair play to them lot for creating a bit of atmosphere. Carlisles was piss poor.
I thought he was allowed back in after 20 minutes or so, once he had been re-united with his clothes.
5000 for a team near the top of the league does sound quite poor, but Carlisle is half the size of Swindon, either way they were very quiet.
Strange ground, the stand we were in extended well past the end of the pitch. If they do get promotion their capacity could suffer when they have to lose all that terracing.
Micheal Knighton promised them an all seater ground, the stand was offset to allow more room one end of the ground. They built the one stand, but couldnt even afford that. The stand on the other side is well worth a look though, bit like Plymouths grandstand but steeper and bigger. Like it. Shame the TV cameras arent on the new stand really.
We were saying thats the first time any of us has ever seen anyone let back into a ground after being thrown out. I think everyone knew there wasnt much point after the 1st goal went in.
Still decent following, made a mockery of the Advers 'difficult to see more than 50 Swindon fans making the trip'. At least Carlisle is a ground we havnt played for 11 years, id say the worst fixture weve had in recent years was Grimsby away 2003. But we even had 200+ that day.
