Adi Whitbread was at the match yesterday and everyones knows that he is Allens man.

He was in the Exec area before the game and left with about 5 mins to go.

I would hate Martin Allen to be our manager, he's a crap manager who has done nothing with any club he has been at, he's never won promotion, also he is very disloyal, if he was our manager he would go as soon as a championship offer came along, we need someone a bit more loyal like Ling.

if ling jumps ship to join us, i'd suggest he isn't very loyal at all.

Got to agree with One Bill Power here Sonic.

Isnt Martin Ling the longest serving manager in the FL? Plus there is his own emotional attachment to STFC, and the fact that he honestly feels he has unfinnished business with us. He was sounding pretty guilty in the Adver the other week about the pay packets he picked up for the 2 seasons after the Prem.

Allen would be off in a flash if we got into the play offs. But then that seems to be the way now. Were just a club who gets raped by other clubs because weve got no real financial management. Have to say Allen did a cracking job at Brentford, got them in the play offs and FAC 5th round 2 years running. They have dropped like a stone since he left.

i wasn't entirely serious but comparisons between sturrock can be drawn.

orient are in a far better position than we are the minute and orient fans would be gutted to lose ling to swindon, just as we were when wise cleared off to leeds and to a lesser extent sturrock to plymuff.

anyway, there is no loyalty in football so it's a pretty worthless point that i'm making! i'd just feel a little hypocriticial if we nabbed a manager from orient after what's happened to us in the last year or so.

I cant see the board employing a new manager before the takeover is completed, as Fitton said on the radio yesterday he wants to be involved in the appointment of the new manager and he desnt want anyone inexperienced in management but wants someone with a proven track record.

He said he wouldnt mind paying compensation but like he said...for £500k we can strengthen the team in preference of paying for a manager.

If the club appoint anyone as manager before the takeover then I would suggest that either...1, Fitton did the interviewing himself, as he has stated he wants to....or 2, the takeover will not take place at all.
