we all need a distraction now and then, idle speculation is mine...

i'd go for nijholt. i live in the hope that he'll bring a breath of fresh air to the club with some different ideas, getting us to play some nice passing football but with determination and grit at the same time. whilst his links might be minimal across the uk, he'll have contacts in europe - i doubt allen would.

i live in a vague hope the takeover goes through and we have a new beginning both on and off the pitch...

(ooh shaun taylor for assistant)

Nijholt for manager, Martin Jol as assistant, and OST for youth coach. Fatbury might be able to do a job as well, GK coach maybe?

I give you your STFC management dream team......

i like mad dog for his notoriety (we'd become hated), but cotterill is the only one of those with any genuine pedigree, so i choose him.

My head says Cotterill, but my heart says Nijholt.

We know what we'd be getting with Cotterill, and it's pretty safe. But I like the randomness of Nijholt. And as supporting Swindon is clearly not a logical thing, I'm going with the passion of my heart. Nijholt it is.

I just need to ring up my mates on the board and give him the green light.
