TrustSTFC will be holding a symbolic funeral procession before Saturdays game against Forest Green Rovers to highlight the clubs plight, and is also giving it`s backing to protests after the final whistle in support of the attempt by Andrew Fitton and his consortium to takeover the club.

The procession will start from the Magic Roundabout at 2:30 ending at the club`s main reception. All fans are invited to join in the procession which is intended to highlight the serious danger of the club going out of business altogether unless the takeover concludes successfully. We understand many fans also plan to protest after the game outside the main entrance to the Arkells Stand and we would back those protests and call on our members to join in making a peaceful demonstration of support for Andrew Fitton`s takeover"

Trust chairman Paul Davis said :"It is quite clear that the only way the club can survive is for a takeover deal to be completed. The current owners have an obligation to do what is best for the club and that means they have to sell up and go now."

"Despite attempts from club officials to reassure fans, the deal is clearly dragging on far longer than originally envisaged, as Mr Fitton himself said on November 3rd : "From my point of view it will not run past November 30 - that`s just too long. There would be something wrong if it`s not completed by then." There clearly is something wrong, and it is up to the current owners to sort it out." concluded Davis

Trust spokesman Andy Ratcliffe added :"Bob Holt is wasting his time trying to reassure supporters that "the takeover is still very much on course". We have heard these assurances week after week this season and nobody believes it any more. We will only believe the takeover is completed when we hear it from Mr Fitton himself. Rather than futile attempts to put a positive spin on the situation, and patronising calls for fans to support their team, Bob would be better off advising the Wills family to stop dragging their feet and get the deal done before it is too late."

I think we might actually have a "second-hand coffin" as well, according to Davis. Wouldn't like to know where that's been...

Next home league game isn't until December 15th against Brighton, that's way too late.

Could somebody source a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Dr Mark Greene (from ER) and take it along please?

Fuck me Mex fair play if you've managed that - like you say, it will look pretty silly if only 200 people turn up though.

(I'm in Cardiff for 3 days, ironically)

I have a contact on the Sport I'll give a shout to so Fatbury doesn't miss out.

Seriously though he has a few contacts in 'proper' papers so I will see if I can get hold of him.

Has anyone contacted Auntie Beeb, Sky Sports and the likes of Teamtalk?
