Maybe we can get the FGR fans involved?? A lot of Swindon followers amongst them. I have been on the FGR forum for a week now and every man bar none has been sympathetic to our cause, and at least half say they have or do follow Swindon as well or their friends and family do. Could be possible.

saturdays game is possibly the worst game to protest at likely to be about 4 thousand at the game . Not necessarily so. The protest after the Cheltenham game was the only one to have any impact, and there were 2,000 at that match. The Adver/Radio Swindon needs to press Bob Holt on Friday and ask him to answer yes or no to the question "So you said the deal would be done by today, has it been?" If the answer is no they should splash that everywhere on Saturday morning. It was the £18m headline that stirred up the hostility the night of the Cheltenham match, and it will take something like that again.

FGR have sold 1,000 tickets so far and have requested today another 750 so they may well be bringing 1,500ish.

Might be worth mentioning on one of their forums then??
And nice of them to bring more down to Swindon than they get in an average home game!

Doesn't help with comments like this from the EA site Standing outside the Arkells at the end of a game or whatever only gives "the club" a bad rep. Especially when the few who like to throw punches will come out of their closets and put the club in further jeopardy These are the exact people I keep going on about. Rose tinted specs.

It's the biggest day in Forest Green's history (well, apart from two trips to Wembley and another Trophy final at Villa Park). Their supporters, while sympathetic, are coming to enjoy themselves and to see their team win.

Here's my idea.
Internet petition with an open message of support to Andrew Fitton. I would hope we could get 2,000 or so signatures. The petition would need to be publicised in local media for the benefit of those who do not frequent STFC internet sites.
I think, as a show of numbers, this might be more effective than a physical protest...in that people would be less reticent about coming forward.
It's not perfect...just a thought.

I refuse to sign any internet petitions because they are gay, don't work and harm any cause more than they help it.
On a protest note. I've sort have given up. If someone with charisma and good leadership comes along and starts the organisation ball rolling then I might jump on board, but at the moment it all seems a bit late.
