I think we should do something crazy. You know, like look for candidates with a decent managerial CV - not just people who played for us in the premiership

Or, y'know, combine both and get Lingy in!

But Arriba, if they played in the premiership for 1 season in 1993 then the must be an excellent manager in 2007 Wink

Can you think of anyone who actually cares about this club who has what it takes?

Phil King has the passion but he's no manager.

I think Lingy is the perfect choice.

Doing a good job at Orient...Has a connection with the club and has said before he would like to manage us.. If Fitton ever takes over, maybe do what it takes to lure him away from East London? We're a bigger club than Orient, and fortunately for us their owner Barry H£arn isn't one to say no to a quick fix of cash... Hence the horrible flats on each corner of Brisbane road.

They are top of the league and they get 4500!

Anyway, Sturrock said we're bigger than Leeds, so we must be.

For what its worth, and I'm not just saying this out of bitterness I think Plymouth re-appointing Sturrock is a mistakle for both parties.

Its pretty clear that he is one of , if not the best lower league manager around. but I dont see it working for a championship team with aspriations of the premiership. The problem is we've all seen that his game plan is pretty un-sophisicated. based on a strong defence, hard working central midfield with wingers raining crosses into the box.  I just dont see that working in the top half of the championship, especially with a squad that he cant touch for a month.

I suspose, but Orient have Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham, Charlton and Millwall on their doorstep. Their never going to get 10,000 crowds.

I sometimes think Swindon fans think of us as a Championship side, we're a traditional 3rd division side, nothing more.
