Pook's not on a bad wage at all.  Okay might not be as much as you Fred, but for a lower league player he's on a fair whack and then some.

That would be spot on with just a slight  change .... it was Sturrock who waited for another club to come in for Pook and when it didn't he let him sign, which is what Pook had wanted all along.
