The campaign to get The Wurzels and Bristol City in the charts begins in earnest today.

A huge swell of support has already been built up via pre-orders for 'One For The Bristol City', but the hard work doesn't stop there.

The single is now officially on sale, with iTunes, Amazon, HMV and Townsend Records all selling the record online.

And you can also purchase the single in store at Virgin Megastore in Broadmead - where on Thursday the players, Wurzels and Gary Johnson will be holding an exclusive signing session (between 4.30pm and 5.30pm).

You can even download the track by text to your mobile if you text "BCFC" and send to 82822 (subject to terms & conditions).

Unfortunately the Bristol City Supershop is unable to stock the single this week as sales will not go towards the chart. The single will be on sale in the Supershop from Monday, October 1st after the song has - hopefully - charted!

Remember, a percentage of the sales proceeds will go to BUI Prostate Cancer Charity.

Actually, whilst prostate cancer has a much higher prevelance than "womens cancers" as you call them, it kills comparatively few men, as it's a not a very aggressive cancer that ususally affects men in their late 50's, 60's and older. A lot of men die with prostate cancer, but only a small minority die from it.

Breast cancer and cervical cancer, on the other hand can be very aggressive and impact on women of all ages. As a result, cervical cancer in particular, which is very hard to diagnose in its early stages, kills quite a lot of people.
