He hasnt signed for Plymouth yet because the deal will be finalised on Monday.... and how do you know this? Are you Sturrock's agent? Do you work for Plymouth Argyle? Do you work for STFC? All speculation. Same was said about Leicester/

gazza.just think about it for 5 mins.its highly likely he is going to leave perhaps it is, but I wont believe it until I see it, for the most part Sturrock has been very loyal to his teams. He may think it is too soon to go back to Plymouth as he wants to retire there. And probably partly because I tink paul Sturrock is the best thing to happen to this club for 10 years, wouldnt want him to go. EVERYONE (except Toni) loves the guy.

difference being sturrock is a plymouth legend, has a house in the area and wants to live their when he retires. Its not looking good is it? BTW, its pretty ironic you having a go at others for idle speculation

Gazza give it up mate Sturrock is going, he will be gone on monday, i'm that confident he's going i'd put my house on it!
Also the thing you said earlier regarding the takeover being signed off last night are you 100% sure of that? or are we going to be proved wrong on monday?

All speculation. Same was said about Leicester/ on the flip side, you are not Sturrocks agent, you do not work for PAFC or STFC so how do you know a deal WONT be finalised on Monday. It wasnt the same with Leicester, he name got mentioned, that was all. I listened to his interview after the Leeds game and it was different from all the others. For once he seemed to suggest he wasnt happy with the board. He was talking about getting out of the embargo and getting players in, but he cant through no fault of his own. During the interview he wasnt his normal self......he seemed dispondant. Plus, Plymouth have a better board, more financial backing, are in a higher league. He has a house down there, its an area he knows well. Its a club he's worshiped at. A club where he isnt stuck with boardroom shit and where isnt in a transfer embargo. In a way, he'd be stupid to stay here....he's as good as gone.

No I'm not, I said I heard people saying it. I didnt say it was true or 100% sure at all. Being quite honest we have heard it all before so.... wont believe it until it happens, same with sturrock wont believe he is gone until he is gone.

I like Sturrock but it's not the end of the world, STFC is the most important thing, the takeover going through is more important otherwise STFC will cease to exsist.

Just fucks me off, we FINALLY have a manager who EVERYONE supports and this was proven today with the ONE PAUL STURROCK chants. He is the best thing to happen to this club. We will start to slip down the table if he leaves. I just hope he shows the loyalty he talks about. I love Sturrock (not in a gay way). Perhaps I am clutching at straws but Sturrock is the best manager we have had since Hoddle.

He is the best thing to happen to this club. At a time when we are staring down the barrel of not having a club, that statement betrays such a lack of perspective as to be almost offensive. Sturrock IS a good manager and I'll be sad to see him go, but far, far more important is whether the Fitton takeover succeeds. Sturrock's gone, get over it.

Question is, Paul, does Sturrock's (likely) departure have a bearing on the likelihood of a successful Fitton takeover?

Question is, Paul, does Sturrock's (likely) departure have a bearing on the likelihood of a successful Fitton takeover? Good point. Maybe Sturrock is leaving because he has found out what the board are really like or because he know's the takeover is not going to happen, Or maybe because he thinks it is not going to happen and is not prepared to hang around to wait and find out or he is unhappy because the current board are leaving as he has supported them a fair bit or maybe him and Fitton have had discussions and disagreed about things? I cannot see that as Fitton himself said that Sturrock is a diamond, Can't see Fitton being happy with Sturrock going but there are plenty of other decent manager's around.

From what i have heard he's off this week (probably be a done deal by Tuesday) The board are to blame and he has had enough. Shame because i thought he would have given Fitton and Co a chance but maybe a return to Plymouth was too good to turn down.
