Has anyone even been to a final?
I wanna go to 2008 in austria but it seems like a lot of organising and a lot of money.
How much are group stage tickets normaly?

Are you taking about the final itself or the tournament as a whole?

I went to Euros in '04 and WC in '06. The cost was tiny to be fair.
Got cheap room and flight for Portugal, total cost was £450, split between 2 for a week. We did have to eat and what not, but if i remember correctly it cost us no more than £400 each for a week.
The WC was even cheaper. We camped (slept in the car) and drove. Think it cost me about £200 max, for a week. That trip was helped in part by fuel being paid by a third party and having a porn-star pad for free in Belgium for a few days.
Even so, excluding tickets, i felt the cost was small.

Portugal was amazing. We booked five random matches at 5 different stadia. Was the best holiday i've ever had. Seeing different teams, sitting with different supporters I'd recommend it to anyone.
Book through UEFA in advance and you're laughing.

Think you may find it hard to get tickets for the Poland games, as you have to apply through uefa ages ago (its a similar system which was used for Germany world cup with fifa). I went to Austria when Poland played them in the world cup 2006 qualifying group stages. Its pretty expensive their, but it was good fun none the less.

would be a nice trip ... but you would have to get a final ticket from another unofficial source at quite a price I reckon
Ill be backing Greece this time .. mainly cos I like the holidays I have there and also cos when I backed them last time (after England lost!) they went on and won it .. would be great to see them prove it wasnt a flash in the pan.
Real shame there are no British sides whatsoever .. I cant remember the last tournament where no British sides or an Ireland team didnt qualify - is there one in the modern era?

World Cup 1994 USA? Ireland qualified. and there has never been a time where one team from the British Isles hasnt qualified since 1938. And I dont think the home nations even entered back then

Euro 84 was indeed the last time none of the home nations or Ireland qualified.

Republic aint British though are they?
I think were all in agreement that it is shit that none of us qualified though. My ideal tournament would definately include all the home nations and the republic.

My ideal tournament would include Scotland, Norn Ire, england and Eire, but not Wales. As it's hilarious that they've qualified for nowt since 1958. 50 years of nothing!!!!
