Town chief executive Martyn Starnes admitted: "If the window didn't close until next week we'd have a much better chance of getting it done, but we've just been beaten by the regulations and the timing unfortunately.

You have not been beaten by fucking regulations at all.

You have been beaten by you inability to secure the future financial footprint of this club by your own greed you bunch of fucking clowns !

Grow some fucking cahoona's and accept responsibility

I agree Fred they've had plenty long enough.  They've always been aware of the date the window closes - no more excuses for fuck sake.

"Its the fault of the transfer regulations"

Ladies and Gentlemen I think the board of STFC have actually done it, they dug deep and found something new to blame other than themselves.

Well done all round for this fantastic achievement, bravo.

Easy. Pay the £1m for the CVA and football debts, and the embargo goes away. Simple.

This lot are the ones that have got us up 'shit-creek', yet it's everybody elses fault.

You couldn't make it up.

Have to agree with that Colin, although I'm a bit disappointed it's not my fault this time Cheesy

strange how it's all the busy bodies that seem to be suggesting the club should sell-up and fast.  You'd think, from the press the club have given us, that what we would really want is to get in the way of the deal going through so we (and specifically Comrade Paul) could carry on with a our self serving attitude.

I blame the underwriters for not guaranteeing to keep the windows open.

Good point Rob.  Possibly a good chance for the Trust to have a word with the Adver expressing their wish for an end to all this financial uncertainty, even if that means the end of the Fans Consortium.  Mr Fitton, it seems would be better prepared to help the club move on compared to our current owners.

Just an idea, then that way the people who hae doubts about the Trust can see we just want whats best for the club.

Excellent Paul, not trying to do your job or anything, was just a thought that occurred to me.  I think in the long run such a communication would be beneficial to the club and trust.

And a good one - great minds or fools seldom differ?  Cheesy Seriously, no-one should ever worry about "trying to do our job" - pushing forward fans' suggestions etc is what we're about. That and being busy bodies, obviously
