Fitton knows that the club need him so much that what he says will go so far as the deal goes - thats the reality. The club saying they have a Plan B may be a desperate attempt by the board to make it seem as if they arent as desperate as we all know they are.

God i can't wait until the day we talk about the board as 'we' again and become a club once again.

If the board were about to sign off on Fitton's takeover, why issue this kind of statement at this late stage? According to Holt, the club are still yet to recieve an offer. Now where have I heard that before?

Meanwhile I notice that a couple of 'special offers' are now being made available to us lucky stfc punters:

The new Black and Red away kit (still not in fucking stock) can be reserved with just a £10.00 deposit.

A 'Christmas Special' ticket deal covering the 3 Christmas period home games can be bought 'in advance' for 30 or 40 odd quid depending on where you sit.

Given the extrordinary timing of these 'offers' in the face of a possible takeover of the club, I think I'll use my credit card, just in case.

See other thread but with Androniku leading negotiations then I suspect the current lot and not up to speed on what the latest is - and Fitton has already said a deal with the Wills is already agreed

OK. I still wouldn't trust them with my hard earned cash though.

Regarding parting with our hard earned, I'm suprised so many bought season tickets last year to be honest.
Seem sto me that Fitton said I will take tas much time as I need, but if it ain;t done by the end of Nov, there would be a problem that is causing the delay.
The 16th is just the expiry of the exclusivity deal. After that the club can talk to (any) other investors. This is highly unlikely, as they have obviously decided they will not talk to the fans consortium, & their is no body else. At a guess, more money is needed at SN1, & the board are trying to railroad the deal through, so Fitton has to pay it & not Wills.
Most statements by the club always seem reasonable & good news at the first reading,; it's when you read it again that the inconsistencies, discrepancies etc become apparent. After all that's what propaganda is about.  I personally give the clubs statements the same credibility as anything said by Goebbels, Lord Haw Haw or New Labour.

BTW and this may have been covered before, the Adver mentions the Fitton consortium, do we have any ideas who he colleagues are?

I particularly like the suggestion that the Shareholders informed the Board Members that they would raise money to pay the debts, another example of them talking to themselves.

Mike Ocksmall has been linked but can't find much about him on Google.

Details of the other consortium members are sketchy at present.

Corker of a thread on the Adver today...

http://forum.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1635&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15

Bob Holt rumoured to be posting under the alias of 'newbie' and while you have to wonder, if it is him it did make me laugh to myself how the mighty have fallen.

Out of interest is Bob the Bob Holt of Mears?
