If it's going to happen (and most of us probably think it's a big if), then the sooner the better.

I won't believe it until I see Fitton wearing a Town scarf, standing on the CG pitch being filmed staring meanigfully into the middle distance.
Oh, hang on...

Andrew Fitton is in Australia at the moment! According to Ed Hadwin on Radio Swindon this morning, Fitton rung him yesterday to say that all was progressing and that his lawyers are negotiating with Andronikou!!!! Hadwin believes that a deal has been done with the Wills family so it would appear that Andronikou is the only sticking point left. He also stated that there would be some surprising names in the consortium. Bye bye Newbury!!!

I assume that he is doing the negotiations with Androniku instead of Diamandis due to Androniku being an independent 3rd party and perhaps the wills family have told him to get the best deal he can and sell the FC rather than diamandis working to get himself the best deal - maybe the Wills have woken up and honestly do realise Fitton is the last hope.
I like the idea of surprising names in the consortium - nothing like a succesful local buisnessman to get the local buisness community involved.
I'd like to see a return for a former CEO as well

He also stated that there would be some surprising names in the consortium. Bye bye Newbury!!! Unless the surprising names begin with Dia and end in mandis, and that's why he isn't involved in negotiations on behalf of the Wills - conflict of interests being seller and buyer Todays crazy ass theory was brought to you by the letters F , U and the number 666, STFC is a production of the wanker controller's workshop. Yes I was joking, the stement/rant gave away Diamandis true feelings on the matter! It sound like good news doesn't it. Fitton is in Australia eh, perhaps he is talking to the bank of Packer then?!

Surprising names in the consortium??
Surely this doesn't mark the return of Eric Shunn, Phil Matitz and Vinnie Garstroke?

Fitton's not in Aus talking to Red-exile is he ? Not too sure about the mystery behind the consortium. To me someone remains "undisclosed" because they have something to hide which if disclosed too soon would scupper the deal.. This could be a bad thing like with BEST (imho), because its a load of agents looking to make the club a feeder club, or it could be someone we all know who is remaining undisclosed so that the Wills don't back out. (If you get my drift)

If Fitton is keeping names quiet then that's up to him at the moment - he's had bags of success in business, I doubt he wants to be in partnership with anyone who could damage his reputation.

well, for someone promising clarity and openness to the fans he could start with telling us his intentions and those others who are involved in the deal.

No point in getting our hopes up though in case the deal does die - if it all goes through I expect a frank rundown of what state the club is in now, what he's going to do about it and where he sees us in a couple of years time. I know this is all frustrating but BEST coming out and saying all they said didn't help anyone, least of all Sturrock...
