....Uncle Bob and Dear old Mike D (and others) move aside and allow Mr Fitton and co to take the reigns.  Can't wait, I 100% expect the deal to be finalised on Friday, as previously announced, as there has been no news to the contrary.

This fantastic board of ours wouldn't say nothing and then release a statement on Friday letting the clubs supporters know that there has been some sort of delay.

The champagne is on ice.

I'd imagine there will be an announcement along the lines of the Best announcement, 'done deal subject to contract.' Actually I think that is what Fitton said would happen anyway isn't it?

Does anyone know why Nov 16th was set as a deadline? To me there seemed a little more to it than an arbitrary date that the club plucked out the air, although it may be just that I suppose.

It's when the exclusivity arrangement runs out a.k.a when HMRC start asking for more money.

Andrew Fitton has actually come out and said that 16th might not be the actual date that everything happens. This was a date that Diamandis quoted.

Fitton just stated that everything should be finalised by the end of November.

It all seems to have gone quiet again.

If these new guys are so cash rich- why do we still have an embargo for £60k and have got rid of the fitness coach to cut costs.

Doesnt add up to me that this is a done deal i am afraid

There will be some sort of statement though on Friday I expect, could well be a reinvented copy/paste from one of the old BEST statements though.

With Leeds the following day imagine how much of a boost it would be if they came out and said it was all done and dusted!

You don't think that the fitness coach issue is that he was brought from Oxford by Best & Brevitt, and finances are a convenient excuse?

Fitton said right at the start that he's not getting involved with the current finances, that this problem was caused by the current incumbents and they can get themselves out of it rather than him/his backers putting money into the club as an interim.

IMO Fitton is doing all this the right way.

Why should he pump in more cash before he gets control?

This way, it's putting more pressure on SSW to sell up quickly, as he doesn't want to put his hand in his pocket anymore.

No news doesn't mean it's gone tits up, what's the point in another 'things are progressing' statement?

Absolutely agree with Hertha, thank God Fitton hasn't started giving the current board money to pay off debts.  Would they use the money wisely???  Who knows.
