can't help but agree with him on this occassion, can't see how he's not in the side.

cartainly if you have the choice of playing peacock or roberts on the wing, you'd think it would be roberts?

agreed DMR.  he does need a kick up the backside at times though, and I think PS knows this.

Agree, I thought the fact he mentions clear the air talks means there has been some sort of fall out no matter how much he denies it... it's the only thing that explains it for me at the moment because I've been really surprised Roberts hasn't been starting.

i understand luggy's trying to keep him on his toes, but i think he's taking it to extremes here.

comminges was woeful on the wing in the first half against wycombe

I suspect Luggy is fed up with his inconsistent performances and is trying others to see if he can get someone consistent to play there.

When Robo & Jp are on their game they can cause lot's of problems but neither has put in a consistently good performance to make themselves immune from the axe.

I think Sturrock see's Robo as someone that can do ok in this league but would have to be replaced if we got promoted as he is not good enough.

I think Roberts will start against Leeds. He was the first player to look really dangerous at Wycombe and obviously got the first goal. I agree that he does need to be kept in check though because he seems to get complacent

I'm not sure about being inconsistent though, in the past yes but this year I think he's been excellent throughout, with 1 or maybe 2 games where he was pretty ineffective. I think that was more down to our tactics than Roberts himself to be honest.

Not sure what's happened to McGovern, he was ace when he started but seems to have gone off the boil a little bit... It's a shame because JP and Roberts on either wing were so dangerous and we looked excellent going forward. Let's hope it's just a blip.

Roberts needed to be checked as after Gilligham he seemed to go off the boil a bit, point has been made though and should now be back in the team as the other options have so far been woefull. A fit and up for it Roberts and McGovern have the ability to tear most defences to shreads. McGovern, however, spends too much time drifting in field and not staying wide in order to get round the full backs, him and Roberts need to stick to their touchlines and give the mid field/defence someone to aim a pass to rather than the hoofed ball lumped up through the middle to Corr/Paynter.

Its Roberts kind of game, plus the old Wise connection.

I just got a feeling he will put on another show like Walsall away last year (I bloody hope so !)

Oh I so hope we do, that would be class, all the Leeds fans I know think they will stuff us and keep saying they will run away with the Championship this season (which I think they may well do TBH)

Even if Roberts not played on the wing, he should be replacing Sturrock up front.  :x

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but, did anyone see Roberts and Corr squaring up to each other at Wycombe? A mate mentioned it on the way home.
