"Two big men can definitely play alongside each other. I have always enjoyed playing alongside a big man and I think we can share the load instead of one big man taking all the hits. Nice to see a bit of er, team bonding! In all seriousness, how do you think these two would do as a partnership? After Cox goes back to Reading it looks as if this will be the main strikeforce, and while we will miss Cox IMO I think these two together could work... No idea if they will be as effective though.

they worked well together at the end of the game Saturday .. especially for Paynters goal .. seemed that Paynter dropped off deeper while Corr stayed at the front

As Paynter has worked with Brett Angell before who was the target man he claims he can adapt his game, so hopefully these 2 can work - it will just worry me if we then have to rely on Sturrock to ocme off the bench to act as cover

Arrieta should blatantly be above Blar in the pecking order. We might as well try and make use of the 3 amigos as we are paying them :-))(

Not that I was old enough to undertsand it at the time - but didn't Ardiles turn Duncan Shearer from a back to goal striker to front to goal, and thats when he started really banging them in?
Do the same with Billy?

I suggested Corr and Paynter as a partnership before the Wycombe game and think that was justified by the way they played together. Corr was being used as the target man both getting into the box and holding the ball up and the second goal was a great example of what could make them work well together

Corr has the ability to win and hold the ball, Paynter has shown he can move well for 'a big man'. As long as they can understand each other well and know who's going up and who's dropping back then they could and should work well together.

Paynter and Angell worked. Paynter and Brooker worked. Dont see why Paynter and Corr cant work.
