I would have been tempted to pick Heskey over Defoe to be honest, but I suppose you need the pace. I don't see the problem with having Smith in the squad, or Beckham. Smith works his arse off and creates a lot more than people give him credit for, and Beckham's performances when he returned to the team showed exactly why he should be there imo.
