This will probably mark the end of the Stratton Plant....which will be a terrible shame as my old man was one of a generation of Swindonians who went "down the slope"

 It will mean however a vast brownfield site becomes available.......new ground anyone?

Yeah don't BMW actually still own the greenbridge plant!  I did not think they did any rover stuff ther anymore!  Could be wrong of course!

All owned by BMW though.....I guess they may switch production of the mini to Cowley, but can't be good news.

No, rover was bought back from BMW by a private consortium, Stratton is safe.

Im gutted as my MG ZR is going up for sale this weekend - gonna cost me thousands!!!!!

 You're right, BMW flogged Longbridge for 20 pound, in 2000 apparently.
