Right I think it has been proven now. Smith is better than Brezovan. It seems to me like Brez is too scared now in goal and seems to fear breaking his arm again. I think it shows the last 2 games ok we have been crap but Brez has not helped unfortunately. I do hope Smith gets back soon. Something is missing from Brezovan's game.

jesus he wasn't that bad today. i agree that i feel more confident in having smith in goal and brez should have saved the first one today but he is a quality keeper and will come good again, just hope it is very soon.

Well he's yet to prove that this season - every game he's played he's been at fault for a goal. Pre Broken Arm Brez was better than Smith, but this After Broken Arm Brez isnt even close.
I'd take Smith every single time.

Smith's injured so I really can't see why this topic keeps getting regurgitated. Unless Brezovan starts playing well, Smith will go back in goal when he is injury free.

Brez just doesn't look confident. We wouldn't have lost yesterday with Smith in goal. Maybe a little harsh, but that first goal looked like a straightforward save to me :|

The reason I brought this up was because people like fatbury etc were saying to drop Smith (even when healthy) because Brezovan is better. I dont believe that to be the case and his performances so far show that.

Smith handles the ball better imo. Brez fumbles and likes to punch it. All I can remember of why Brez has his fans is those penalties saves the start of last season. (people shouting, "he's future premiership mate, right there... he is y'know"). He went out injured after 14 games...
Smith was one of our players of the season last year and hasn't done anything majorly wrong this season. When both are fit, I know who I'd pick. He deserves the no. 1 shirt.

as people are more than happy with smith. should we have taken the 6 figure sum offered for brez? having seen the goals on tv, brez should have done better for sure with the first.also ifil was pressing the ball where a midfielder should have been. second goal was a fuck up between both our centre backs.

i wasn't in the country last year to judge brezovan at all but all i've heard about him have been rave reviews......... i'm yet to see why! the few games he's played this season he's not even been league 2 standard let alone our league and definitely can't see why everton wanted to looks at him. he doesn't command his area, he flaps at the crosses, he can't kick it straight (ok not a major issue) and even his shot stopping has been poor. you can't keep on living in the past with him, he may have been good last season but on form this season he's just not good enough, i'm just hoping smith gets back soon...!!

I'd take Smith every single time. How can you say he's been at fault for every goal he's let in, our defence has been poor for the last two games. He'll come good because he's a quality keeper.
