BBC - Rushden & Diamonds 5-0 Oxford Simeon Jackson's double guided Rushden to a convincing win over woeful Oxford. Rushden were 3-0 ahead inside the opening quarter of an hour thanks to a low shot from Jackson, Matt Day's own goal and a Craig McAllister lob. Early in the second half Rushden stretched their lead when Andy Burgess' scuffed shot was diverted home by the luckless Kieron St Aimee. Just past the hour Rushden got their fifth when Jackson beat two defenders and fired a shot into the top corner. Sweet, I love the wording...WOEFUL! that so cheered me up. |

the commentary was funny as fuck. they had some mug and david oldfield who made brunelfm sound like the greatest commentary team on earth - they started moaning about setanta being the downfall of o*ford united, referring to it as "the channel that will not be named, will never be supported or endorsed by our fans" blah blah blah
it was wonderful.

I can see why they would be annoyed at Setanta though,i mean every time they are on the channel they lose/draw in embarrassing circumstances My Dad [who was moaning about the fact he had too much football to watch when Setanta became free on Virgin]must be loving it,he gets to see at least 90 minutes of pure comedic gold from the pox every month God,all those seasons stood behind the fence at the shit hole that was the Manor watching us slide towards another defeat,never thought they would lose it all in such a huge way
