It's a new craze. It's a kind of re-incarnation of when people walked round with boom-boxes on their shoulders in the 80's anyone remember that kuzzey fella who used to do this in town.had his name on his back just walking with his ghetto blaster? or that retard adrian mole lookalike who used to breakdance like a fucking pleb, getting the onlooking crowds in stitches?

There has always been this youth sub-culture, it's just that now they have the tag "chav".
When they got older they'll be the ones fitting 50ft cones in the boot of their Nova/Saxo/whatever cheap ass car, hot tailing it to Sainburys/Asda/Whatever car park and playing acidhouse/hiphop/watever crap at full volume. Followed by a cruise to Bournemouth/Brighton/whatever. Hiphop and Acidhouse passed you by when you were young then Batch, were you more of a Bros fan?

Ok Batch, your call...
Incidentally, you are missing 'not to be used as a lifesaving device' from your disclaimer, wouldn't want you to get caught out...

It does piss you off these little chavs that sit at the back of the bus with their phones playing crap music loud....and then you get some other prick sitting next to you with headphones on and you can clearly hear what he is listening to.
I remember when personal stereo's used to be personal now with Ipod & MP3 players people think thay have to have them loud so they can share their music with everyone....
Maybe we should start walking up to them removing theie phone/ mp3 / ipod and jumping on them and tell them I didn't like your music.
Sometimes on the bus though you feel that you are sharing it with the great unwashed of Swindon with the amount of smelly people that get on at times

Why should I ?, just turn the fucking thing down, they are for personal use not for everyone to listen it That's the problem with youth of today

Ash you should be thankful it was happy hardcore. Every bus I get on has fucking school kids playing Akon really loud, his music is fucking dire don't play it loud like its something to be proud of, they should definitely have head phones on with it on very low volume.
