Trouble with going self-employed in any kind of financial advisory role is the regulation. First you have to get authorised status and then once you do you'd be too busy filling in paperwork everyday to actually sell any mortgages.

There's not that much regulation with mortgages, yeah you have to hand out certain forms at the correct time, but come on there does need to be some protection from certain mortgage advisers out there.
Plus at the end of the day it's pretty easy money for doing not a lot, let's be honest.
