TeamTalk - Swindon defender Chris Blackburn could be one of the first players heading for the exit door as Paul Sturrock prepares for a mass clear-out.The Robins are currently in an uncompromising financial position following the withdrawal of proposed takeover bids and being burdened with a huge wage bill, Sturrock feels that off-loading players could be the only solution.

I'd like to see Williams go, don't think it's worth waiting for him to come back from injury, he's not going to be as effective at this level now anyway.

Let Blackburn go. He's shown nothing that makes me think he could be a decent league 1 defender in the next few years

I dont think you could be more wrong.

He was more than capable at League Two last year and more than capable in the Championship the year before.

Still think he's got something left to offer.

I think Williams and Blackburn could both go and we'll get Collins in. Just a thought. Can you really see Williams getting back into the team with Ifil and Aljofree?

That's a good point. No i can't. But Collins for back up anyway. I for one would love to see Williams stay. But he hasn't played for so long now. It would be another hasty Sturrock decision really.

I rate Blackburn, cant see Swindon releasing Williams to be truthful.

I can't see people coming in for Williams and Blackburn, so I can't see us getting another CD while those two are still contracted.
